Sashiko (Japanese Hand Stitching)

Sashiko is a type of traditional Japanese embroidery/stitching used for the decorative and/or functional reinforcement of cloth and clothing.

And it looks cool. And it saves you from throwing out that pair of jeans you love because they are wearing out or have a hole.

Patching with flair!

This is very casual gathering. Less of a "class" and more of a "lets get out of the house, hang out with groovy women, and create something with our hands."

Everything you need will be provided (as well as snacks).

The only thing you need to bring is the item you wish to work on, and maybe any fun scraps of material you have lying around (I will also have material for patches on-hand).

Good items to bring to work on: jeans, jackets, pillowcases, bags...
