FOR ROBYN...

I’m a firm believer that good hair has the ability to spark something inside

that cascades positively down into so many other aspects of self. 

I will be collaborating with women in the community who are in the position to

connect me with women in need of a hair pick-me-up, done in a safe environment, at no cost to themselves.  

I’ve decided to call the program, “For Robyn”…

Robyn was one of my clients during my time in Berkeley, California. 

She got into my heart in a way that still baffles me. We had to have been close in a previous life,

that is the only way I can explain our instant connection. (I’m sure all you fellow hairdressers can think of similar clients.) 

When she came to me she had already survived cancer once.

And sadly it came back towards the very end of my time in California.

She fought like hell, but… 

She was one of the kindest, most loving humans I have ever had the privilege to know, and call friend.

We shared an intense love for our dogs, and dogs in general.

She absolutely LOVED Halloween, and would project horror movies onto the side of her house during trick or treating,

and not necessarily “kid friendly” movies.

I can still feel her laugh in my heart.
